There’s no time like the present to really make things happen! So what I’ve decided to do for this episode — and for the next couple of weeks — is to bring you solo episodes related to the three verticals that we talk about on The Entrepology Podcast: business, body, and inner-badass! These are going to be short little episodes that will help you to really lay the foundation for a whole new story.

So to kick things off, we’re going to be talking about how to become a visionary entrepreneur! For some of us, it’s really easy to slip into this visionary role, but for others, it can come a bit harder. So in this episode, I’ll be breaking down some of the systems and patterns of thinking that I do in my own life so that I can actually execute and hang out in my strongest visionary state.

These are my seven steps to becoming a visionary entrepreneur!

Key Takeaways:

[1:02] About today’s solo episode!

[5:05] The first step to becoming more visionary: having creative space.

[7:56] The second step: a capacity to notice problems all around you.

[10:42] The third step: practice seeing the world through a glass-half-full perspective.

[12:10] The fourth step: evaluating whether your idea or solution is truly scalable.

[14:25] The fifth step: being willing to be wrong.

[16:30] The sixth step: be comfortable with risk.

[18:56] The seventh step: you’ve got to write your best ideas down.

[20:08] My challenge to all of you.

[20:47] What’s to come for The Entrepology Podcast in 2020!

Mentioned in This Episode:

The Entrepology Podcast Ep. 136: “Badass: How to Take Your Dreams (the Really, Really Big Ones) and Make Them a Reality, with Giovanni Marsico”

Two years ago, someone asked me what supplements I take to maintain my health, energy, and edge and they were surprised that I only took four things consistently. For myself and my patients, there are four basics that support — at a foundational level — nearly every system in our bodies. In my quest for the highest quality ingredients and the easiest system for consistently incorporating supplementation to my routine, I formulated and manufactured my own line of foundational supplements. Now sitting at nearly 150 episodes, I’ve come to realize that there’s one topic that we haven’t unpacked or explored nearly as much as we should have. And that is autoimmune conditions. Autoimmune conditions affect women infinitely more frequently than they do men and especially for busy, stressed-out ladies like ourselves!

So today, I’ve asked one of my friends — Dr. Alison Danby, a renowned expert on autoimmune conditions — to come on and share her wisdom all about autoimmune conditions. She’s going to take us through why it is that so many women are actually missing out on the opportunity to be diagnosed with an autoimmune condition and what we should all be looking at not only to reverse them but to prevent them from emerging in the first place!

Key Takeaways:

[1:02] About today’s episode with Dr. Alison Danby!

[1:57] Welcoming Dr. Alison Danby to the podcast!

[2:27] Alison tells us about her background and why autoimmune conditions are an area of women’s health that she is so passionate about.

[3:26] What exactly does it mean to have an autoimmune condition?

[4:41] Are autoimmune conditions happening with an increased frequency or are we just becoming better at detecting them earlier on?

[5:45] A third of the women we see in our practice have positive antibodies against the thyroid. Is this trend something Dr. Danby is also seeing in her own practice?

[6:44] The importance of running antibody tests to check for autoimmune conditions.

[8:33] Why are women more at risk for autoimmune conditions than men?

[10:18] Dr. Danby shares some of the tools she uses in and out of her practice for measuring the effects of stress.

[11:03] Why heart rate variability is so vitally important.

[13:00] Dr. Danby explains the link between stress and the gut.

[16:55] What can we do to treat autoimmune conditions?

[20:09] How often does Dr. Danby find that they are able to successfully reverse an autoimmune condition at her practice?

[24:14] Dr. Danby walks us through what the experience is like to work with a naturopathic doctor or a functional medicine practitioner in terms of attempting to resolve an autoimmune condition.

[26:14] Dr. Danby shares more about her own personal journey with her autoimmune condition.

[28:31] The importance of working with a practitioner.

[31:30] Dr. Alison Danby’s key performance indicators!

[35:12] Where to learn more about the work Dr. Alison Danby is doing!

More About Dr. Alison Danby

Dr. Alison Danby earned her Bachelor of Science, Honors, in Biological Science degree from the University of Guelph with a major in Human Kinetics and Sports Injury Management. She completed Advanced Training in Applied Functional Medicine at the Institute of Functional Medicine. Dr. Danby believes in the life-changing effects of Naturopathic Medicine, and so for the last half-decade, she has also been a representative on the Provincial and National Associations of Naturopathic Doctors.

Dec 3, 2019

Sometimes when we get into the zone, where we’re feeling like a badass and working on being “successful,” we resort to this technique that for most of us, got us to where we are today which is this capacity to put our heads down and actually do the work. And while that is extremely important, I guarantee you this: no one can take it to the next level by continuing with that technique. Everyone reaches a point whether that be in their career or life where they truly need to listen to their body. And your body is going to be the one that’s going to tell you that it’s time to level up. And by ‘level up’ I mean really level up and discover that opportunity that’s out there for you to achieve with a whole new understanding of elegance and simplicity.

And we’ll be learning all about this from my incredible guest today, Susi Hately. Susi has a background not only as a high achiever but as a kinesiologist as well as a yoga therapist. She works with high-achieving individuals and teaches them how to really listen to their bodies and, in turn, expand past a level they never thought possible. She knows that the secret to ‘ease’ (within both our careers and life) actually exists within our own physiology.

What you’re going to learn today from Susi is seriously game-changing! You’re going to learn all about burn-out, leveling-up, and achieving that leveling-up through ease and simplicity. So, if you’re not finding that your journey is becoming easier as you get further along in your career, and you’re starting to feel some of that fatigue from pushing yourself day after day, then I want you to listen in to today’s episode. There’s an opportunity for all of us to make everything just a little bit easier while still achieving more.

Key Takeaways:

[1:17] About today’s episode and incredible guest!

[4:17] Welcoming Susi to the podcast.

[4:55] Susi provides some background on who she is and how she ended up where she is today!

[7:18] Susi unpacks the pain of burnout.

[10:53] Why burnout is not a sign of weakness, but actually a sign for opportunity.

[16:57] The concept of the elegance of achievement.

[18:47] What is literally happening from a physical perspective when Susi sees the pain of burnout in her clients?

[22:45] Reiterating some of the key pieces of wisdom that Susi has shared so far.

[24:59] Susi highlights some of the important movement patterns that are helpful in reorienting to expansion as opposed to this contracting/pounding away state we often find ourselves in.

[28:47] Susi shares how she creates balance in her day.

[33:19] How we can say ‘no’ in an elegant way and be assertive with your needs.

[37:25] Susi’s methodology for addressing burnout with her clients.

[45:22] Taking a break in order to recover will not slow you down. In reality, it accelerates you!

[49:40] Susi’s KPIs.

More About Susi Hately

Susi helps successful executives and entrepreneurs recover and get back on their game, regain clarity of mind, get better rest, and to finally feel like themselves again!

She is a best-selling author and has created two programs that were studied at the University of Calgary — Cancer Recovery and Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. She has also published and produced ten best-selling books and video series to support individuals with their healing recovery.

Susi’s work with entrepreneurs and executives began with referrals from medical doctors and sleep specialists. All of her clients were hard drivers who pushed symptoms down thinking they were getting in the way of their success. Her specialty is working with these clients — who are some of the most deeply logical, non-feeling type of people — learn to feel and understand that their symptoms are their body’s communication system; that they aren’t a sign that they are getting old or breaking down. She teaches her clients that you can learn to decode the symptoms — and through that, you will regain your focus, your sense of mental clarity, your power, and your leadership!

Today’s episode is meant to serve as a bit of a wake-up call! So obviously, if you’ve been hanging out with us for any amount of time, you know that I really love business — but I lead from a place of health!

My guest today is a business strategist and coach who is really talking about your business as the root cause of what is going wrong in your health. Holly Chantal is a strategist who helps people take their business to the next level! But what she also has is an incredible lens and capacity to understand where your business itself is wearing you thin.

In today’s episode, you’re going to learn that it’s not that you have to scale back or that you can’t dream big; but that there are strategies, techniques, and opportunities to shift how you are placing your business and work out into the world!

Once you find a little bit of your flow in your business it should get easier. If it is not becoming more simple for you and is not creating more ease in your life, then consider this an opportunity to shift your perspective! We’re not telling you to slow down or to go back to your day job; what we are doing is channeling a message from the universe that is telling you that there is an opportunity to change how you’re growing your business!

[19:14] Discussing that critical moment of being taken ‘out of the game’ as an entrepreneur.

[22:45] Holly speaks about a key component in her toolbox: her ‘perpetual growth model’; how can we continue to grow our business and contribution while also navigating this idea of balance!

More About Holly Chantal

Holly Chantal is a Business Coach and Brand Strategist who has been honing her craft since 2009! She helps experienced business owners who have hit their “upper limit” by helping them figure out what is next and bring their brand, business model, and marketing systems into alignment with their next level of growth.

Holly starts this whole process by helping business owners get clear on what it is they truly want in their business (which is often not what they think!), and by uncovering where their limiting beliefs and subconscious blocks are that are sabotaging their efforts. Then, she helps by reverse-engineering a path for bringing their current business to its next evolution without alienating their audience or imploding what is already working!

Since starting her business, Holly has created over 200 brands from idea to launch including copywriting, website design, and marketing strategy; has managed up to 20 website design projects at once and kept them on time and on budget; has made changes to a client’s messaging strategy that resulted in a $25,000 increase in revenue that month; created a brand positioning strategy for a client that moved them from six-figures in revenue to seven-figures within a year; produced content for videos and blogs that resulted in a 100% increase in traffic; and much, much more!

Trusted for myself and my patients, and under the guidance of your own healthcare provider, I’m excited to invite you to check out our foundational product line: Badass Basics. Holly and I are challenging you to take the ‘Yeah, but…’ challenge! If you have a goal,  an idea, or something you really want in your business but as soon as you think of it you go, ‘Yeah, but…’ It’s time to change your perspective! Whatever those objections are that come up for you, it’s time to play with them and look at it from different angles! Write down these objections and journal about them. Ask yourself, ‘Is that true?’ and ‘Have other people done it?’ and ‘What are some ways I could get around that challenge?’ … See what comes up for you until you get to what the reality is of what you’re really dealing with! Once you find that out, it’s time to work on that piece.

Remember: you can have, be, do whatever you want! And be sure to let us know how this goes for you and follow-up with us on The Entrepology Podcast Facebook page because when you’re accountable, you’re helpable!

My guest today is an expert in a really particular field: concussions. And before you stop and go, ‘This is not relevant to me,’ let me tell you that within our lifetime, either you or I (or someone very close to us) will likely experience a concussion. And that old wisdom that we learned when we were young — that you should put someone to bed and wake them up every hour to manage that concussion — is really old news!

Melissa Biscardi is a registered neuroscience nurse, osteopathic therapist, and a concussion specialist. She’s also a member of our business mastermind called the Clinician Code!

I really wanted Melissa to join us today specifically talk to us about the latest research with respect to concussions and what we should all do post-concussion. What I want everyone to be armed with is the exact formulation of what you need to be doing and looking for, should you — or someone you know — experience a concussion. Head injuries can happen at a moment’s notice. It’s not something that’s reserved for athletes — it can simply happen as we move through our day-to-day lives! And knowing how to react and respond when that situation emerges makes an absolute difference in both your short and long-term health. In fact, Melissa goes over some of the research in this episode related to how concussions can actually impact women’s menstrual cycles and their post-partum period up to 10 years later!

Not only is the information presented in this episode super important, but Melissa is also equally entertaining! Be sure to tune in for this highly informative episode!

I think that sometimes meditation and mindfulness get a bad rap. We think we need to sit there with complete absence in our mind — but frankly, that couldn’t be any further from the truth. What I would love to hear from you this week is about your own journey with meditation and mindfulness. What have you done this week to, at least twice, engage in a mindfulness practice? This might be anything from climbing the side of a mountain, going for a morning walk, or sitting in silence for a minute.

We all know what we’re supposed to be doing with respect to lifestyle habits, but the reality is that most of us don’t stick with it. My guest today, Dr. Kristy Lewis, is a Holistic Nutritionist and Naturopathic Doctor as well as a colleague of mine that I’ve grown to love and admire for many, many years now!

Dr. Kristy Lewis’ secret sauce is in her practice and her approach to women’s health. In particular, it is through helping people appropriately sequence the lifestyle elements and habits that we need to have in place to uplevel our life and help us understand why we just don’t do it. It’s all well and good for us to share all the things you should be doing but if you don’t have a framework to actually make these habits stick, they aren’t necessarily going to move your life forward.

My interview today with Dr. Kristy Lewis was fun, insightful, and tremendously practical.  We talk about how we start to stack and strategically implement lifestyle medicine, why willpower is BS, how we can actually stay on the track of ongoing improvement vs. falling back into our old ways, and the hidden choices we’re making throughout our day with respect to our health that have the capacity to make a massive impact. This episode is jam-packed with some incredibly valuable information so I hope you’ll all tune in!

It was my pleasure today to sit down with one of my entrepreneurial heroes, Giovanni Marsico! Giovanni is the founder of the Archangel Summit and the Archangel community, Archangel Academy. Through his work, it is his mission to be able to empower entrepreneurs who are visionaries and have a deep desire to change the world. Through his programming, masterminds, and frankly, his attitude and leadership, Giovanni is shifting an entire generation of entrepreneurs and giving them the tools to take their dreams and turn them into a reality.

Our conversation today was epic — just like all the conversations I have with Giovanni! And what I loved the most was that we not only talked about how to eliminate limiting beliefs, but also what we can do as entrepreneurs to dream as big as possible and hone the skills associated with that. He also took us through some of the practical tools that he uses in his own life to take his dreams and enable them to become a reality.

Key Takeaways:

[1:07] About today’s guest, Giovanni Marsico!

[2:40] Giovanni takes us through the journey that got him to where he is today.

[6:50] As dreamers and visionaries, the dreaming can be the easy part while the actual following-through can be much more challenging. Did Giovanni have the inherent ability to follow-through or did he learn it over time?

[9:00] How to become better at dreaming and generating ideas by treating it as a skill.

[11:36] What separates a good entrepreneur from a great one? The ability to let go of the things that will not serve you in a bigger way.

[13:42] Has anything that Giovanni has created been an accident where he was just iterating and it really took off?

[15:50] How did Giovanni begin to build up his network of connecting incredible people together?

[19:28] What events and meetups, such as the Archangel Summit, are incredibly important to your journey as an entrepreneur?

[24:40] Giovanni gives an overview of the Archangel Summit.

[28:14] What is Giovanni dreaming of right now?

[31:40] How does Giovanni manage his limiting beliefs and remove the blocks to what he believes is possible?

[37:46] About our upcoming event, Impact LIVEs!

[39:16] Giovanni’s key performance indicators!

Dream BIG! Giovanni recommends scheduling in ‘dream time,’ building a support team around you (who are really good at executing on your dreams), as well as scheduling in time for self-care. On top of that, another big piece of the puzzle is taking time to journal out ‘sh*tty’  ideas. Because when you practice doing idea generation you will get better at idea generation. Treat it as a skill! This is key in order to be able to effectively execute on your dreams or vision. Today’s episode was so important! I sat down with my dear friend, Adele Tevlin, and we spoke about a new era of leadership — something we are both incredibly passionate about. In particular, we dissected the idea of female leadership and the notion of what it means to be a female leader, both for ourselves as women, but also why the world needs us now more than ever. We also looked at this idea of gender gap and how it is really a symptom of self-efficacy and a lack of confidence, as well as some of the root causes as to why we simply can’t break through the way we want to.

In the next hour, we lay out a blueprint for female leadership. I truly believe that there’s a deficit of leadership systemically in our society and that this is really an opportunity for a new type of leader, a new authenticity, and a new way of doing things. And I believe we all have the capacity to be able to deliver upon this.

So join in on our conversation today as we go really deep into what it means to be a leader as a woman!

Key Takeaways:

[1:24] About today’s episode.

[3:00] Welcoming Adele to the podcast!

[3:33] Adele gives us some background on who she is, how she has gotten to where she is today, and why she is so incredibly passionate about this topic that we’re discussing!

[6:12] What’s getting in the way of women truly rising to become leaders?

[7:50] What does Adele mean by self-efficacy? Why do some women struggle with this? And how do you build up your self-efficacy?

[11:33] Is self-efficacy linked to sports and activities as a youth? How else can we build self-efficacy as women?

[14:45] Here’s the thing about the ego-mind: it’s always going to look for the negative.

[16:22] How to begin shifting our mindset to feeling positive and believing we’ll succeed.

[19:45] Why do women sabotage?

[25:40] The secret to being able to do more!

[35:43] Adele explains masculine vs. feminine leadership and the importance of balancing both energies.

[48:35] What Adele wants listeners to take away from this episode!

[50:25] About Adele’s upcoming events and talks.

[53:25] About our Impact LIVEs event!

[54:56] Adele’s key-performance indicators!

Today’s interview with Dr. Adi Jaffe is incredibly timely because September is named as the National Recovery Month by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Dr. Adi Jaffe is the author of The Abstinence Myth and the founder of the IGNTD Podcast along with his wife, Sophie Jaffe, and is an expert on addiction. He often talks about the pervasive shame that we have in the traditional treatment models of addiction and the problem with the black-and-white labels that we apply upon it. He says the thing about addiction and the reasons we become addicted, is that they are actually pervasive to all of us. There are times where we all want to escape the feelings of our life, and it is usually that desire that triggers any form of addiction in the first place.

This conversation was deep, insightful, and it breaks all the rules of how we traditionally talk about addiction and recovery! Dr. Jaffe tells us his deeply personal story about his own addiction and recovery, explains why traditional recovery models are failing us, and provides insight around the myth of abstinence. He explains how to actually get on the path of recovery without abstinence, how to not externalize emotions and better manage our feelings, the biological and environmental components to addiction and how we can actually alter them for the better, and much, much more! This episode is jam-packed with so much valuable information that is incredibly important, regardless of where you are in life!

More About Dr. Jennifer Tanner

As an award-winning Naturopathic Doctor, Dr. Jennifer Tanner believes in movement. She was introduced to the world of medicine when she injured herself competing in tetrathlons (running, shooting, horseback riding and swimming). Surgery and pain killers were the only options she was given. Frustrated that three knee surgeries still didn’t correct the problem, she searched elsewhere for options. After decades of research, working as a Western University Athletic Therapist and at the Sydney Olympics and logging thousands of patient hours, she created the STRONGER Inside Protocols. With these protocols, she now has the energy and strength to run marathons. She helps optimize the health and performance of executives, runners, and those looking to bring fitness back into their lives with three major goals: recharging their energy, injury prevention and treatment, and healthy digestion.

Dr. Jennifer Tanner is dedicated to helping people Design Your Health. Together with her clients and patients, she creates a roadmap that aligns with their health goals and takes the stress off of them so they can live more freely.

Dr. Jennifer Tanner is also a mother to three wildly animated children, is a horse lover, marathon runner, and an unshakable optimist dedicated to helping others feel their best. She strives to help others find their Inner Superhero so they have the energy to get back to doing what they love doing.

On the podcast today, Dr. Anna Cabeca is going to share with us her own personal journey and story that really shifted her mindset and acknowledgment that lifestyle plays a large role in not only our health but in healing our bodies at a very deep level. [19:53] Anna highlights some more critical foundational pieces in women’s hormonal health.

[24:13] Anna shares some of the tenets of the Keto-Green diet.

Recently, I had the experience to talk at the Mindshare Summit in San Diego about my vision for the future of health. This event is full of massively famous thought leaders and people that I really look up to in my own work. When I first found out I was going to speak in front of all of these people, I was excited. But that quickly turned into anxiety.

So, today, I want to talk to you all about this experience while it is still fresh! Because a lot of us, in the growth of our business and in our movement through life, face these opportunities where we tend to procrastinate and push them off because we feel like we are not ready. And in this moment, where I got up on the stage to speak, not only did I feel not ready, but I felt that the other people presenting were so much further ahead than I was.

But, what if, rather than saying, ‘I don’t like that feeling of anxiety,’ or ‘I need to escape that feeling,’ you worked on harnessing it? Because we all face these fears and anxieties — and in actuality, they’re important to our growth as human beings!

Key Takeaways:

[:16] About today’s episode.

[3:25] What I’ve learned in this mix of anxiety and procrastination.

[3:56] Why I’m sharing this moment with you all today.

[5:58] What I will be talking about at the Mindshare Summit.

[6:55] The lesson in all of this!

[8:18] Thanks for tuning in! Please share your thoughts on this episode on any social media and let me know how you combat your anxieties!

Today’s episode is going to be all about the men in our lives. For a long time now, I’ve been wanting to get my good friend and physician on the podcast, Dr. Tracy Gapin, to talk all about what it would take to actually get the men in our lives into a physician’s office.

Dr. Tracy Gapin is a board-certified urologist practicing in Florida, but his real passion is unpacking health performance medicine for men. This was a really exciting interview because we broke down some of the key performance areas that men really need to look at with respect to their health, some of the red flags that we need to make sure that we are consistently watching out for, and the #1 thing that actually drives men finally through a physician’s doors.

The intention behind this episode was to really give us an understanding of what helps motivate getting the men that we love into the offices of people who can help take their health to the next level. Tracy really dives deep into this topic and gives many practical tips on how to help support the men in our life reach their optimal health!

[20:00] Tracy breaks down some of the misconceptions of what it actually means to have your health evaluated in its entirety for a man between the ages of 30-45.

[21:40] In an ideal world, how would Tracy have men interact with their physician?

So, what do multiple bodybuilders who have previously been on The Entrepology Podcast have in common? It is that nearly all of them, following a period of intense competition, saw a massive deterioration of their health. Now think about this: these are athletes performing at their highest level. They’re at the most optimized state of physical physique — and yet, their body is falling apart on the inside.

Today I am joined by Wade Lightheart. Wade is a former Mr. Universe competitor, a 3X Canadian Bodybuilding Champion, and the co-founder and Director of Education for Biooptimizers. Wade is also the host of his podcast, The Awesome Health Podcast. And all around, he’s just an absolute wealth of knowledge! He’s highly articulate and extremely well-researched in the areas of health optimization. In fact, it was Wade’s own journey — one through watching his sister move through deteriorated health — and then his own (coming out of his bodybuilding period) that really encouraged him to delve deep into exploring this issues.

What was really enjoyable about today’s conversation with Wade was the way in which he was able to weave — not only a philosophical perspective on health — but some tangible research-focused elements into our conversation that related to biohacking from the inside-out. So much of Wade’s work focuses on the gut and digestive health issues — because, even as Hippocrates said 2,500 years ago, all health starts in the gut.

So, for anyone who’s interested in taking their health to the next level, understanding how to optimize your digestive health is where things absolutely must start! And there’s no better person to get us started on that conversation than Wade Lightheart himself!

Key Takeaways:

[1:38] About today’s episode!

[3:41] Welcoming Wade to the podcast!

[3:48] How did Wade get to where he is, right now, today?

[5:10] Is it common in the bodybuilding industry for bodybuilders to focus more on their physical physique rather than their health from the inside-out?

[7:37] Was it Wade’s work in bodybuilding and his own health crisis that led him to do the work that he does now?

[8:49] When was Wade’s ‘aha moment’ of realizing the gut was the root cause of all the downstream effects he had been seeing in his own health and others?

[10:37] The key metrics Wade wants people to look at in order to measure their health.

[12:47] When Wade is working with some with respect to gut health, where does he start with them? And what is the process he takes them through to get them back on track?

[23:01] Wade shares his thoughts on the attention people get from being sick.

[26:50] How Wade defines health.

[27:15] Wade speaks about some of the interventions on how to begin remedying gut issues and restore optimal digestion.

[31:26] Should we be supplementing enzymes? And should you stay on them consistently?

[42:58] Wade’s key performance indicators!

[45:45] Where to learn more about what Wade is up to!

So, today is a story about the coming together of healing and badassery, with my incredible guest today, Kayla Saint-Onge! I have known Kayla for a number of years, so I am really excited to finally have her on the show!

In this episode, Kayla explains to us her energetic healing modality called BioEnergetic Intolerance Elimination (otherwise known as BIE). BIE is a natural, non-invasive method that helps a person's body identify stressors that are causing symptoms and brings their body back to balance. Kayla studied holistic nutrition for a long time, which eventually led to her becoming a BIE practitioner because of her own journey with managing ulcerative colitis. Her understanding and exploration of energetic medicine is so deeply fascinating and has been so helpful to her that she decided that she wanted to be able to apply it to others as well. BIE literally has the capacity to clear people of their sensitivities and intolerances.

Join us this episode as Kayla goes into detail, describing how BIE works and the incredible benefits to this powerful modality!

More About Kayla Saint-Onge

Kayla Saint-Onge began her healing journey after experiencing severe digestive health issues which resulted in an autoimmune diagnosis. It was after she was hospitalized as a result of her ulcerative colitis, that she decided to pursue a holistic approach to her healing. This led Kayla to begin her studies as a Holistic Nutritionist with the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition where she graduated with distinction of merit.

While she managed to overcome some of her health issues using diet and natural supplements, this approach alone was not giving her the quality of life she believed her body was capable of achieving. During her search for alternative healing modalities, Kayla was referred to a BioEnergetics (BIE) Practitioner. After working with the BIE Practitioner, she was able to experience a deeper healing of her digestive issues. Using a unique tool known as the GSR-120, her body was brought back to balance allowing it to begin to heal itself.

With her passion for holistic health and wellness, Kayla further pursued her education and training with the Institute of Natural Health Technologies to become a Registered BioEnergetics Practitioner.

Kayla’s experience as a BIE Practitioner is one of her primary modalities in helping her clients achieve balance to finally heal. She works with clients on a variety of stressor-related symptoms to help alleviate them of digestive and emotional issues as well as food and environmental intolerances.

Kayla believes that every individual is capable of healing and is extremely passionate about helping her clients uncover the true causes of their symptoms so that they can restore their health and live their most vibrant life.

Here’s the challenge in the day-to-day life of an entrepreneur: they get that they should be doing breathwork, yoga, and eating whole foods… But the reality is they feel super busy. They’ve got clearly articulated goals on the business side but actually making that leap to hit those goals with respect to one’s career is often a difficult chasm to leap across.

My guest today, Selina Rose, is a nutritionist, an integrative holistic health coach, and a yoga instructor. And what’s so cool about Selina’s approach to health is that she’s really been able to break it down into a framework that is easily and readily accessible for people who are on the go.

In this episode, Selina offers all sorts of tangible tips and really acknowledges that there is a leap that needs to take place between ‘living the life of an entrepreneur’ and being able to find that semblance of balance. Selina highlights the tactics and tools we can use to help achieve this — how to transition to a more sustainable way of living to optimize your health and your business, and the pillars of her C.A.L.M. system that she uses to help her clients reach their goals!

CALL TO ACTION

Our call to action today is to give breath work a try! Set a timer on your phone to remember and commit to at least five ‘breath breaks’ in a day. This is a time where everything stops for 10 breaths. You sit down, close your eyes, get grounded, mindful, and just take 10 deep breaths. It’s about simply completing the 10 breaths. You got this!
