Two years ago, someone asked me what supplements I take to maintain my health, energy, and edge and they were surprised that I only took four things consistently. For myself and my patients, there are four basics that support — at a foundational level — nearly every system in our bodies. In my quest for the highest quality ingredients and the easiest system for consistently incorporating supplementation to my routine, I formulated and manufactured my own line of foundational supplements. Today’s episode was really quite unique. I was joined by a naturopathic doctor — Dr. Louise Swartswalter — who has expertise in blending the energetics of healing with tangible naturopathic therapies. Dr. Louise is incredibly passionate about helping people optimize their brains. She has developed her own methodology called the B.R.A.I.N. System which aims to remove your roadblocks to success and propel you forward in both your life and your business.

We had a really interesting conversation in this episode all about the opportunity that is sitting at all of our footsteps as evolved, enlightened, awoken humans. As innovators; the ones who are going to be able to help rebuild the world on the other side, we have this huge opportunity right now (both for us as individuals and the world) to heal. Dr. Louise and I talk about the confluence of these two opportunities as well as what we need to do as individuals so that we can better serve as leaders in a world that needs our energy tremendously right now.

This was a really interesting podcast and I cannot wait for you all to tune into the fascinating conversation I had with Dr. Louise Swartswalter!

Key Takeaways:

[1:25] About today’s episode and guest!

[2:31] Welcoming Dr. Louise Swartswalter to the podcast!

[3:04] Louise shares her story around entrepreneurship and how she got to where she is today.

[6:40] Louise breaks down her methodology, the B.R.A.I.N. System.

[9:47] Louise elaborates on how we are the microcosm of the macrocosm.

[12:26] Focusing on the B.R.A.I.N. System, Louise explains the B (Body detox) and the steps we can take in order to heal forward.

[15:50] What does it mean to actually release things (rather than suppress)? Louise outlines the steps to releasing our emotional blocks, pains, and shames through the R (Release baggage) in B.R.A.I.N.

[18:38] Addressing the A (Align with spirit) in B.R.A.I.N and what the process looks like.

[19:25] Louise explains the I & N (Integrate a New program) in B.R.A.I.N. and what it really looks like to integrate with purpose.

[21:35] Louise walks me through her signature B.R.A.I.N. System by helping me focus in on my own goals and intentions and the blocks that may be holding me back.

[35:32] What Louise wants to clear from the world.

[36:44] Louise offers some profound advice on what we can do as individuals to sway the direction in which we’re traveling.

[39:39] Dr. Louise Swartswalter’s key performance indicators!

[44:04] Where to learn more about the incredible work Dr. Louise Swartswalter is putting out into the world!

CALL TO ACTION

As we head toward the end of 2020 and into 2021, we need to embrace a sense of courage as entrepreneurs. We need to lean into the fact that the world has changed, and that now — more than ever — give a platform and a voice to our ways of thinking, the gifts that we have, and the capacity for impact that sits inside of all of us. We need to share with individuals how we can help change their lives.

I truly feel that this is the time for entrepreneurs and that the single most differentiating factor for those who are going to make it through the next 24 months (vs. those who will not) is simply going to come down to whether or not you are willing to make courageous choices every single day.

We need to tap into this notion of courage that sits inside of all of us. What will you be doing to become a more courageous you? What is one step you will be taking to push yourself closer to making more courageous choices every single day? Join the conversation over on The Entrepology Collective and let us know!

Nov 3, 2020

In today’s episode, we’re going to be covering body, badass, and business all in one integrated topic. This is a topic that is critical to us as women and entrepreneurs who want to have an impact in this world — money. In particular, we are talking about our own personal management of money; how to start with that, how to lean into it, and why it’s one of the most critical things we will decide to take ownership of in our entire lives.

For far too long — despite us identifying as entrepreneurs and having our own businesses — far too many women are outsourcing the management of their finances to someone else in their family. So today, we’re talking about taking back and reclaiming that element of our wealth, our health, our business, and our personal empowerment.

Joining me in this conversation is my longtime friend, Jackie Porter. As a financial planner and a certified financial manager, she shares her important perspective as we delve into why managing money and leaning into the finances of our family is as much a feminist issue as it is about planning for our future; it’s a matter of self-worth and absolute importance.

Key Takeaways:

[1:01] About today’s episode.

[2:35] Welcoming Jackie Porter to the podcast!

[3:23] Jackie shares about who she is, what she does in the world, and why she is so incredibly passionate.

[8:18] How our parents program our money mindset and habits, and the importance of having these conversations around money literacy.

[10:53] Why we desperately need to be having more open conversations around our finances and educating around debt management, saving for retirement, cash flow management, credit, and overall financial management.

[12:25] Understanding OPM: how to leverage and invest other people’s money.

[13:39] The financial fundamentals that women need to know about.

[22:01] Understand how you can invest, not save, to multiply your wealth!

[24:00] Why you need to stop outsourcing your security.

[26:27] Addressing financial abuse and why outsourcing your security is a fundamental issue of women’s rights.

[28:39] Jackie’s key recommendations on where women can get started with developing their financial literacy.

[36:41] Sharing a story of the impact that taking responsibility for your finances as a woman can have.

[38:21] The importance of modeling financial literacy for your children.

[39:20] Jackie’s key performance indicators!

[44:30] Where to find more about what Jackie is up to!

[45:18] Thanking Jackie for joining the podcast!
