Hang tight everybody! Today’s episode was a doozy! I was joined by Corey Deacon, the co-founder and Medical Director of Neurvana Health, a clinic in Calgary that focuses on brain health and something called Quantitative EEG (qEEG). Now, Corey’s credentials are exhaustive! He has a Doctorate in Natural Medicine, he’s a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner, and he’s a member of The Examining Board of Natural Medicine Practitioners Canada™.
Corey has extensive experience exploring how lifestyle has an effect on brain health. And not just brain health as it pertains to concussions or trauma, but as it pertains to anxiety, depression, ADD, and some of the more functional disorders that are quite frankly systemic in our population.
In this episode, Corey and I went deep into the science — we seriously geeked out on some of the things that you should be looking at in your own lifestyle, how you can start to make shifts on a daily basis, and the top three things that we are both seeing affecting people in a chronic way — and they are definitely not what you’d expect!
If you are interested in understanding how your brain can serve you at its highest potential and how you can preserve your brain activity very long into life, then this episode is designed especially for you!
