When it comes to our health as women, there’s one topic that we all probably have familiarity with: the birth control pill and exogenous hormones. Of all the things I talk about in my practice, this is the one where women are searching for the greatest level of honesty and clarity around the influence of the pill on their long-term health. The effects and implications for susceptible people can be devastating.
In this episode, we’re going to get into some of the problems with the pill, and some of the things you can do if you choose to stay on it. My expert and guest for today’s show, Dr. Ginger Nash, ND, is the perfect person to have this conversation with. She graduated from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in 1998 and in her 20 years of clinical practice has worked with thousands of women on natural hormone balance without the use of hormone replacement. She’s also recently launched a new brand called Feminology: The Art and Science of Female Hormones, with her colleague, Dr. Tara Nayak. Together, they interweave the scientific knowledge behind natural medicine and the art of helping women heal.

CALL TO ACTION
We are constantly exposed to environmental toxins which means our detoxification systems need to be functioning adequately to keep up. The Lymphatic system plays a key role in supporting detoxification so this week’s call to action is to support lymphatic drainage with a few simple habits you can do right at home. A few ways to accomplish this is through dry brushing, daily movement/exercise and/or deep breathing exercises. How are you committing to supporting your detoxification pathways?
