Today I sat down with Dr. Stephanie Estima. Dr. Estima is a chiropractor, coach and a builder and curator of superhumans. Our conversation centered around behavioural changes that we can make to alter our neurochemistry, the things that can literally change our brain to turn us into superhumans. We also talked about the differences between men and women, the types of behaviours we can engage in that will make us better partners, improve our morning routines and support us in living a life of gratitude. [3:11] Dr. Estima’s mom was a fitness instructor, and taught her family the importance of eating well.
[4:28] At one time Dr. Estima thought she would become a pediatrician.

[15:33] We can raise our own levels of dopamine, but we need someone else to raise our serotonin levels.
[18:20] Women have half the serotonin receptors in their brains that men do.
[19:58] Women turn to carbs when they are down because carbs upregulate serotonin. What can we do instead?
[24:53] Dr. Estima advises that people eat a ketogenic diet.
